Mohegan Sun turns 30 next month, and to celebrate, the tribal casino owned and operated by the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut is calling on some of the resort’s most famous friends.

On Friday (Sept. 25), Mohegan Sun announced that 50 Cent had been added to the casino’s star-studded 30th birthday celebration. The event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 10.

50 Cent will take the Uncas Ballroom stage around 10 pm, where he’ll perform his biggest hits from his storied career. Limited tickets, starting at $200+, remain for purchase at Ticketmaster .

DJ Cassidy is hosting the resort’s 30th birthday. Tickets come with an open bar and guest appearances from reality star Kyle Cooke ( Summer House ) and numerous Real Housewives , including Teresa Giudice, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, and Kelsey Swanson.

Mohegan Sun says the birthday bash will feature an “elegant Art Deco theme” and a “high-energy dance floor.” The Uncas Ballroom is inside the Sky Convention Center.

The Mohegan Tribe is one of two federally recognized Native American communities in Connecticut. The other, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, celebrated the 30th anniversary of its Foxwoods Resort Casino in 2022.

Foxwoods began as a bingo hall in 1986 before expanding into a casino in 1992. Mohegan Sun opened in 1996 with slot machines and table games. The tribes invested in casino gambling after the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA) was signed into law by President Ronald Reagan on Oct. 17. 1988.

Foxwoods celebrated its 30th with the announcement of a new casino—the Pequot Woodlands Casino—Bedford by Martha Stewart, and the $300 million Great Wolf Lodge .
